Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Analogize (“the Service”) generates explanatory analogies from text, documents, images and web pages you supply. These terms form an agreement between you and the operator of the Service. By creating an account or generating an analogy you accept them.

2. Accounts

You may generate a limited number of analogies without an account. Beyond that you need one. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to create an account.

3. Plans, billing and cancellation

• The Free plan includes 5 analogies per day and text input only.
• The Pro plan costs $5 per month or $50 per year and includes unlimited analogies, image and file input, domain comparison, visual illustrations and cross-device sync.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; we do not pro-rate partial months.
• Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice before your next renewal.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you submit and of the analogies generated for you. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the Service: to transmit your input to the AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy, to store your saved analogies, and to display them back to you.

If you choose to publish an analogy with the Share action, it becomes readable by anyone holding the link and may be indexed by search engines. You can unpublish it at any time from your pinned sidebar, though copies already made by others are outside our control.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• submit content you have no right to submit, including other people’s personal data or confidential material;
• generate material that is unlawful, harassing, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
• circumvent usage limits, including by scripting the anonymous allowance or creating accounts in bulk;
• resell or redistribute the Service’s output as your own automated product.

6. AI output is not advice

Analogies are generated by third-party language models. They simplify by design, they can be wrong, and they can be confidently wrong. Do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial, safety or academic decisions without independent verification. The Service deliberately includes a “where it breaks” section for this reason; read it.

7. Availability

We provide the Service on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, and we depend on third-party AI providers whose availability we do not control. We may modify or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice before removing something you pay for.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or that we reasonably believe is being used to abuse the Service. You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard; deletion is immediate and irreversible.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions taken on the basis of generated output. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the revised terms.
